Book of Mormon: Day 26: They Who Shall Seek

Today’s Reading: 1 Nephi 13:34-42

37 And blessed are they who shall seek to bring forth my Zion at that day, for they shall have the gift and the power of the Holy Ghost; and if they endure unto the end they shall be lifted up at the last day, and shall be saved in the everlasting kingdom of the Lamb; and whoso shall publish peace, yea, tidings of great joy, how beautiful upon the mountains shall they be.

What a hopeful and beautiful blessed scripture. As we seek to bring forth Zion, the Lord will bless us with the power of the Holy Ghost. Such things include: temple attendance, partake of the sacrament, fulfill your callings, pay your tithing, share the gospel via social media, and many more things! It is hard to get caught up with life and all the things that demand our attention. It is easy to feel inadequate because we are not spending all of our time chatting with investigators, going out with the missionaries and passing out Books of Mormon. And that’s okay, that’s not what the Lord asks of us. As long as we seek, for ourselves, we will bless those around us, and will start to understand the importance of missionary work.

Lead by example as you seek to bring forth Zion. It will be hard, and you will get tired. Life is a test, and sometimes unfair to us. But each piece of our lives is all apart of that special plan Heavenly Father has for us. For some it is easy to do missionary work, and for others it may not come as easy. But as we personally seek to bring forth Zion, whether in our own lives or the lives of others, and endure to the end, we shall live with God again.

That is my hope; that is my prayer.

What are some ways you ‘bring forth Zion’?
