Book of Mormon: Day 265: Falling into transgression

Today’s Reading: 3 Nephi 6

5 And now there was nothing in all the land to hinder the people from prospering continually, except they should fall into transgression.

When I look around at the political climate of the United State of America I can’t help but ponder over this script and see it in our world today. Have we as a country, nation and people fallen so far into transgression that we cannot see that we are hindering our own progression. I look closely at the two main presidential candidates and can only shake my head in wonder and amazement at the sinful, boastful, prideful people that we have poised and ready to represent our nation.

If ever there were a time on earth where we as a choice nation, that has been blessed above all other [ii], are ripe for the reaping, that time is now. I pray that we will rise up as sisters in the faith and use our voices, our influence, our prayers and our time to help spread the gospel to all the world. Through our smiles, our caring attitudes, our love and gratitude to the Lord. Through seeking out those things that are good and rising up righteous leaders from among us.

Sisters, we cannot sit idly by as the adversary fights with literal weapons of war to destroy our religious freedoms and our rights to raise our families in righteousness. Make no mistake that that is exactly what he is fighting so hard to do. I plead for you to rise up and seek out the good in the world around you today. Seek out righteous leaders and do all that is in your power to support and uplift them. We are God’s army here on this earth, and we are much more powerful than we can begin to comprehend – so please stand up and join the fight.

From a very personal stand point, if you haven’t already looked into ALL of the current candidates running for president of the United States, can I ask you to do that now?
There is always some form of good battling evil, if you have the eyes to see and the ears to hear.
