Today’s Reading: Mosiah 15:23-16:9
9 He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death.
We see and know that Christ is the light of the world – but did you know that you are too? He declared this same message of his followers:
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. [i]
One of my favorite songs while going through the Young Women’s program was A Window to His Love, by Julie de Acevedo – I still pop that one on repeat from time to time. What a beautiful reminder of how we can choose to walk this earth as His humble servants and let His light shine through us.
What are a few practical ways we can be lights to others?
1 – Missionary Work
2 – Being a good example in word and in deed
3 – Serving others in small and simple ways
