Today’s Reading: 2 Nephi 21-24
2 Nephi 22:1 And in that day thou shalt say: O Lord, I will praise thee; though thou wast angry with me thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

The hope of God’s light in our lives is a tangible thing- at least it can be if we seek for it. It took Todd over two years to feel God’s light and love in his life. This is a great reminder to us that all things will be done in God’s time.
We cannot see what He sees.
We do not know what He knows.
We have to exercise faith in His plan of happiness for us as individuals. It is the only way to feel the hope of His light in our lives. As we exercise faith, he will give us the things that we can handle. Little by little. Line upon line. And as we learn and grow, our circle of knowledge about God and His plan expands and He can teach us more- for the rest of our lives and throughout eternity. But we won’t learn what we want or even what we need in a day. It takes a lot of patience to be tutored by God.
There is truly hope in God’s light. It may take days, weeks, months, or years to feel his comfort and receive the answers that you are looking for, but I know that however long it takes will be exactly the time that you need to fully understand what the Lord is trying to teach you. He is perfectly patient with us in all of our foibles, and He is there waiting with outstretched arms, ready to receive us.
I grew up the oldest of 5 children in the blazing heat of Southern Utah. After high school and some college experience I met and married Mark Ogden and we are the parents of four children. I have owned and operated my own home-based preschool for more than a dozen years, and I consider myself an accidental author as well. When I am not in my minivan transporting children from one activity to the next, I enjoy playing the piano, blogging, speaking about my life’s experiences, and feeding my insatiable crafting disease.
