Advent: Day 21: Shout for Joy!

D&C 128:23

“23 Let the mountains shout for joy, and all ye valleys cry aloud; and all ye seas and dry lands tell the wonders of your Eternal King! And ye rivers, and brooks, and rills, flow down with gladness. Let the woods and all the trees of the field praise the Lord; and ye solid rocks weep for joy! And let the sun, moon, and the morning stars sing together, and let all the sons of God shout for joy! And let the eternal creations declare his name forever and ever! And again I say, how glorious is the voice we hear from heaven, proclaiming in our ears, glory, and salvation, and honor, and immortality, and eternal life; kingdoms, principalities, and powers!”

This scriptures sings peace to my soul. I love the worshipful praise it gives to our Savior. It makes my spirit feel so light and so full of love.

Let us all strive to live our lives in praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let us weep in joy, laugh in joy, and live in the joy of His life and His love.

He has given us every reason to be joyful. He has given us hope, mercy, kindness, love. All good things come from Him. Let us truly rejoice because He lives.

I am so grateful and so joyful this holiday season. I am in awe of his power and mercy. His love and tenderness and his presence in my life.

Let us truly rejoice!

  • I found this scripture when I was actually preparing a post on my personal blog for why my brother decided to serve a mission! The Gospel is such good news (literally that’s what it means) we want to shout it out so that everyone can hear it!
